ON THE TRAIN
He has sloshy racoon hair slipped over his ears
A black hat firmly on his head
And a vacant shadow about the eyes
...a plump wife and a snowy bird...
He is a railroad worker
Sitting resolutely by the window
Under the deepest water of these parts
...around February at Rice Marsh Field
the wind is denser than the water
water and ice reflect each other...
The spindly pine
As well as the snowy sky stagnated white
Appear on the smooth wavy glass window's surface
