AMBIGUOUS ARGUMENT CONCERNING SPRING CLOUDS

Mass psychology is behind the shock
Which you may have been dealt
By those black clouds
Tens of thousands of people equal to us
Who hoe the barleycorn fields
And cut mulberry trees
For fifty miles along this river
Take their passion from fighting back winters
Then turn it into a sorrowful longing
And vague varieties of hope
Then, at a loss for what to look toward
They all cast their eyes to those clouds
But that's only the half of it...
That dark leaden thing
That catenary of warmed water
That is romantic love personified
The exchange of carbon dioxide
And the sham response of spring
That is romantic love personified
